  • Well, I'm not sure about Macs compared to unlocking the bootloader on Windows. However, I would do a search for a one-click root program for the Nexus One. This way you won't have to worry about getting into terminal commands. It's what I did with my Nexus One. After that, ROM Manager is a program on the market that will download and install roms with minimal work on your part. You'll need to flash Clockwork Mod first but that's in the ROM manager app. After that, you'll need to go into clockwork mod recovery and create an EXT partition on your SD card (this will format the card unfortunately). This way, ROMs like CyanogenMod will install apps onto the EXT partition rather than the phone's internal memory. CM also allows you to move ANY program to the SD card, not just ones that have been Froyo programmed.
