I am not sure which post you are referring to... maybe you could include a link to the post ...
If you are referring to the app "Better Keyboard" you will also need to download one of the "Better Keyboard Skins" i recommend the "Oil" as a starter ...
If you have had problems with force closes with the app ... try un-installing it.
Power off phone ... remove battery and sim ...
then reinsert them and try again ...
You will have to go into Settings "Locale" and select the "Better Keyboard" and choose the skin ...
Once you do that .. I recommend immediately powering off phone and restarting ... so the New keyboard loads as the default ...
