    I have a Samsung I9000, but I can not get 3G signal only EDGE, this happend after I use a custom firmware, even the baseband change to Europe, Do you know where I can get the original firmware Eclair with original baseband. ? I'm from Panama too, I use Cable&Wireless. Many thanks

    Install it, after root
    Edit nv_data.bin file
    mount the internal SD Card on your computer
    make a backup copy of the nv_data.bin file on your computer
    using your favorite HEX editor open the nv_data.bin on the sdcard
    jump to address 0x181468

    you should see a string like this
    ff 01 00 00 00 00 46 46
    there are 5 different types of locks in 5 different bytes
    the FF byte should be left alone
    the first byte after the FF is the network lock
    the next byte is the network subset lock
    the next byte is the sp lock
    the next byte is the cp lock
    the last byte appears to be a data lock.
    the 46 46 should be left alone
    Change any 0x01 to 0x00
    Go to offset 180069H and change what ever there to 71401 (this is for C&W)
    save and close file, reboot and everything will work fine

    ey amigo ayudame, tambien soy de panama. updatie mi telefono al andorid 2.2 usando el i9000XXJP2 y ahora no recibe ni 3G ni senal, cambie la vaina a 850 como dice pero nada, q ago? gracias de antemano :)
