Not that I am aware of. The upgrade is available every 10 months or something like that to any line that is paying $39.99 and up per month (not including data or extras). The primary on any family plans qualifies for this. You wouldn't get the new every two $50 - $100 discount that they offer, but you can upgrade. If you call VZW CS they can tell you if you are eligible or not.
