First one is the LG Optimus M+, with a 800mhz processor, 5mp, running Gingerbread with a 3.5 inch screen. Pretty mediocre but if the price is right this could be a good bargain phone for some people.
Second on is a bit more interesting. Its the ZTE N910. It's a 4g phone running ICS. 1.2 ghz dual core processor, and a 5mp camera.
I see a couple of drawbacks of this phone, one is that the display is a standard one, not a NOVA or AMOLED, and it looks VERY thick.
This isn't enough! I need something Mind blowing! something great! and powerful!
I'm with you man, I'm tempted to pull the trigger on the Connect, but think I'll wait until later this year. They are suppose to be putting out a Galaxy S device that will come with an antenna and will be capable of watching over the air local channels. This is somewhat interesting to me and probably the main reason I haven't gone with the Connect yet. In the video I saw it actually said Galaxy S on the back, so if Samsung is willing to give it that label, I'm thinking the specs will be pretty good.

Metro needs a tablet; n on phones something with ics, doubled memory, 1080p....NOW.....by the time something with ics finally comes out they'll be so far behind the curve yet again...only this time dangerously close to going kaput.

They are far from being kaput. Their premium stuff is a niche for people with extra cash in their pockets.

Someone else noticed touchwiz on the LG optimus m+ there... but I don't think anyone caught the irony of it.. touchwiz on an LG phone? Touchwiz is proprietary to Samsung. Just a thought..
