No need to camp in front of stores cause you'll probably only be 1 of 20 people in your immediate area who subscribe to Metro and can actually afford to drop $500+ on a phone.

Lol.

Customer service and even corporate won't tell you anything that's for sure even if they know sometimes. Never rely on the website to check for upcoming phones. It never helps. You'll just have to wait until this Friday and on to check when it's there. But I'd still call my local store and ask for the phone i'm sure they'll know what you're talking about lol

so am i right in guessing that once we have the phone in our hands we'll be able to root using 1 of the methods from the top carriers, or will we have to wait?

I would rather wait an extra week or two if they release it with jellybean instead of ICS. Metropcs with never come up with a update for Jellybean.

When the JB update is up for the US everyone will be able to get it including us so it doesn't matter if we get it out of the box or not as we'll be able to update to it anyway.

What's the difference in having it a week earlier and updating it yourself?

Give me the damn thing now!!! That's why there's cm10.

That is true we can get a copy through Samsung. But I rather have a fresh copy of Jellybean instead of an update copy.

I'll get mine as soon as it's for sale on wirefly...which will probably be closer to Halloween I'm guessing...cause waiting another month ain't gonna kill me. And I'll be saving money when I buy it through them instead of going to a store, being charged their bs activation fees, plus sales tax on top of all that. Took me several years to figure out that immediate gratification rarely pays.

See you guys back here in a month from now when all the excitement has fizzled, reality sets in, and you realize that your S3 is another Android phone, not a life changing phenomenon. LOL if I were a Metro exec and read this thread, I'd put the phone on sale for $599 the first few weeks just cause I know you guys would pay it.

It's nice that you're giving us smart consumer tips but you seem a little too concern. I wonder if you work for apple.

Kind of agree...

You truly are a gem my friend. I haven't seen someone as pessimist as you! Thankfully, you aren't a Metro Exec, so no one cares about your hypothetical opinion!

Your logic would apply if we were Iphone 4 owners jerking off on the thought of buying/getting the Iphone 4s. With that said, the phones we have now suck compared to the Samsung Galaxy S3. So I do considerate it a GREAT/AWESOME upgrade. Don't expect this phone to go down in a month buddy. Look at how MetroPCS prices their phones, so yeah, good luck with that!

He has a point though, so many people keep asking when its coming day after day million times a day lol. Just chill, mike will let y'all know, it is just a phone. In a few years you guys will be doing the same with a different phone.
I'm excited as well, its almost here, so just be a little bit more patient. Paranoid android here I come in a bit.

People want quality devices and they're about to get one. We've never had a device the quality of the sgs3 on metropcs before and if people go out and buy this we may see more high end devices like this come to metro. Why would we not be excited about such a development?
