I registered to all but confirm that Metro will be releasing the S3 on the 28th (this Friday). When specific markets may get it will vary I'm sure. I called customer service, wanting to confirm that corporate stores would have it. They gathered all of my information, wanted to know where I got that information, put me on hold for like 15 minutes, then the rep fumbled around with...
"I can't confirm that information. However, if you check the MetroPCS.com website on Friday, you'll be able to see if the phone is available or not."

Customer service and even corporate won't tell you anything that's for sure even if they know sometimes. Never rely on the website to check for upcoming phones. It never helps. You'll just have to wait until this Friday and on to check when it's there. But I'd still call my local store and ask for the phone i'm sure they'll know what you're talking about lol
so am i right in guessing that once we have the phone in our hands we'll be able to root using 1 of the methods from the top carriers, or will we have to wait?

When the JB update is up for the US everyone will be able to get it including us so it doesn't matter if we get it out of the box or not as we'll be able to update to it anyway.

So I do considerate it a GREAT/AWESOME upgrade. Don't expect this phone to go down in a month buddy. Look at how MetroPCS prices their phones, so yeah, good luck with that!

People want quality devices and they're about to get one. We've never had a device the quality of the sgs3 on metropcs before and if people go out and buy this we may see more high end devices like this come to metro. Why would we not be excited about such a development?
