Ima have to ask my local MetroPCS store here in NY. I asked last week and they told me in "2-3 weeks". Every time I pass a Metro store, I check if I see any S3 posters on the windows lol.

MOST of us here place a large value on our own credibility. It's one of the few things one displays in a net forum that's really worth anything.

I called every MetroPCS corporate store(because it's impossible that it happened at a dealer location) yesterday pretending to be you and said that I was willing to bring the phone back. I called Lathrup Village, Madison Heights, Hazel Park, Sterling Heights, Livonia, Detroit and a few more. No one knew anything of what I was talking about. A lot of "You got it from here? Hold on...ummm I understand what you're saying buts that's not possible sir. We don't have it here. Are you sure you got it at this location?" That was pretty much the reply I got everywhere.

It's not unheard of that an employee sells something before it's release. Happens all the time. I know some people will look at the good news and think "sweet, it's almost here", but there are other people who "post pics, or its not true". Though i wish the Swype keyboard would delete the entire word when you held the delete button. You stated that the store threatened to kill your service if you didn't return the phone. THAT'S where *I* call Total BS.
Think about it. It doesn't even make sense. At all.
It doesn't take a Metro rocket surgeon employee to know that as soon as your service was killed by them (if they could even do that as a store) it would only take ONE probably 60 second call from You to Corporate to get it turned back on. And THEN, the store would have all living hellfire and brimestone raining down on them from corporate for releasing your phone early.
Even Val the Valvoline chimp of Metro employees would know the best way to handle a misreleased phone Would Not Be to Threaten you.

When the GNex came out, we had two guys get it early. One had to return it (or feel bad getting a guy fired) the other made out - but had activation issues.
