Oh no worries you have enough time metro is a huge company it usually gives a generous time period for people to switch over. im guessing this promo will probaly end around 2013
I'd guess they will run it at least through the S3 release. It'd be a bit of bad publicity to drop the promotion before their big fancy phone release of the decade happens.
But then it is a corporation. And they do do things that make no sense sometimes. The most logical use would be to run it through the holiday season, then drop it before more mid-range/high-end phones get released early next year.

Thats kinda crazy are you in area affected by the storms? Also Monday is a holiday which I am sure is slowing things down. Worse case just give fedex a call with your tracking number there normally pretty nice and helpful.

the $15 fee could of been prevented since thats an optional fee from dealers and wirefly seems to be acting as dealers. in conclusion buy the phone without activation and what not you can always activate it yourself via *228

oh if metro charged u that and not wirefly or some dealer then im not sure what to say. but i think u should call *490 and ask the rep if the $15 is a official fee from metro.
Metro does prorate you when you switch plans the difference between the two and how much longer you have left in your month.
Lets say you went from the $25 dollar plan and you switched to the $55 and its half way through the month, Metro will prorate you $15 since you upgraded halfway through the month which will be added to when you pay your bill. When you pay your billl it will be $15+$55 so $70.
This way metro doesn't lose any money since you switched your plan. It can be confusing for some but thats my best way of explaining it.

Both my parents switch he'd to the promotional plan, and they weren't charged for switching. My dad came from the $70 and my mom from the $50.

If you go from a higher plan to lower your next bill will be cheaper. My bill was due in a couple days I had 60 old unlimited and insurance switched to new 55 unlimited and insurance and my bill went from 65 to 59 and next is 60.

the 15 dollar fee is because you involved them in your need to make changes .
you could do all that you needed online without the fee . if you want to make them earn it have them demo phones show you accessories transfer your #'s ect . but you can purchase a lg motion online from amazon , not pay sales tax and activate and change plans online yourself .

ok this is a good discussion i guess we all can save money if we buy the phone without activation and i know those idiots were lying when they said oh metro will charge u regadless. so for all those getting a new phone or especially the s3 buy the phone and do not get it activate it there at the store instead do it yourself at home via *228

When I got the motion I told the guy that I will activate the phone my self and he was like we can't do that if you buy at the store the phone must be activated before you leave the store

if it was an upgrade...he was after the fee. I only charge it if I do it...I have sold phones without activating them, its their choice.

It really is garbage that these sleazy pieces of trash will outright lie to you.
All i can say is do the knowledge and @&$# the dealer. I got lied to myself when I bought the connect and this was at a CORPORATE STORE! didn't matter in the end as what the rep was trying to get me to do I wanted to do anyway.
So due to my finances I had to downgrade back to the $40 for me n my wife and I got prorated and have to pay $50 for month of Oct. I know I only get 250 MB a month which sucks.. but what counts against my data? I hear many different things when I ask.. I called metro 5 times they just keep telling me I can upgrade and get more lol but they are kinda slow lil.

if you have great 3g coverage in your area you can switch your 4g to 3g and pretty much your unlimted. i used to do that when i was on the old $50 plan and i would use up my 2.5gb bandwidth in 2 weeks. my 3g average out here where i live 400-600 kbps which is fast enough to surf download stuff from google play market and check emails even tether lol. best part by using the app anycut to do it you dont need a rooted phone to do it.

Seems like AnyCut has been removed from the Play store. Google search quickly turns up copies to download, but out of excessive caution, I did not try it.
The w when you say everything what you mean by that? I'm hearing surfing the web counts now, I no downloading, uploading, YouTube, but what about weather Widgets that update daily n stuff like that? I sound dumb guys sorry but I'm getting mixed messages from everyone.

I've had this $55 plan just one day short of a month and have been having issues setting up Visual Voicemail. While trying to go through the setup process I get a provisioning error and sometimes a message saying my rate plan doesn't allow this feature. Has anybody had this issue before?
