No unfortunately. it will still require a trip to the store.
I was not aware you wanted the att phone today, or I would have warned you, get it from the website, or some online vender while it surprises me they will turn down all that money they expect you to just roll over and get a plan, thus getting even more money from you.

Right! I call 2 different stores and I explain what I wanted to accomplish...not once did anyone say that I had to be a customer....the sales rep said that I could have my daughter pick it up since she is a at&t customer...thank God my Daughter was at work today!!!....I think that I made the Right decision in the long run and saved a nice penny!!! So Im happy!!! Thank you for all the help

The note will work, but you will need to modify it to get tmo hspa natively.
I have a skyrocket from att on the byod program and it works excellent. It gets 4gLte, 4g ( which I'm guessing is hspa), and edge.

I dont mean lock the phone, that is easy to defeat in most cases anyway.
I mean they specifiy radio's without competitors frequency.
Att locks, or does without HSPA AWS. verizon does not have any frequencies att or t mobile use, just international frequencies.

Your in a refarmed area try leaving the refarmed tower behind and you will find edge speed.
and Nothing wrong with refarmed if your in that area. I hope your on LTE most of the time as that will be better. t mo AWS HSPA is faster then the refarmed HSPA.

pick your flavor the only one i didnt get was the nano for the iphones but i dont care about iphones so pfffft!

credits to MurphysCellRepair check out his youtube channels!

also would like to confirm that yes u may transfer number/account to a byod phone but grandfathered in plans such as the $55 unlimited plan will go out the window but for $5 more u get the same perks so not a big deal.

Wait are you saying you bought the sim card and you did not need metro to activate the phone for you? You just stick the sim inside the phone with no issues?

I thought you have an unlocked GS4? Now that our ASAP has been BYOD-enabled, PM me your SIM's ID and your phone's IMEI and I'll gladly activate & pair them for you!

lol this is great, BYOD comes this week and i got rid of the Tmo s4 i had sitting for over a month.

Oh well, for the case of the s4 i'd rather get the metro version, but for those wanting to attempt other phones great news

I took the tmobile gs4 because of the easy finance options once I pay it off in a about two months will switch back to metro to save a few bucks and keep enjoying lte /hspa

wooo! good news potential note 3 buyers, https://plus.google.com/+CyanogenMod/posts/CTsrtCW6Wxv

cm is finally booting on the octacore. granted there is no:
wifi
bluetooth
cellular connection
octacore support
and various other meaningless things... it is booting, which is huge if the next note has the exynos cpu in it. if it does then maybe when it comes out cm will be able to boot/run after a couple of months.

and if its snapdragon, well official support will be done within a week...

after looking for some tmobile sgs4's with n4zty i have seen some concerning information on some of these devices.

"It'll go about the deposit Michael, just like now, if their credit is bad their deposit will be high, besides we'd still block their imei due to fraud, they did that one time a lady came in to my store and tried to activate a phone on pre paid, the imei was locked, I looked it up and bam customer owed 1,600+-$ in her contract account, she said she bought the phone herself, not through t-mobile, so I called tech support and retail customer service (yeah we have our own retail line) and nope she got the phone subsidized from us, so I think that either way they'd make their money."

that was in regard to what happens if a person using uncarrier just stops paying, swappa has a few listings of people asking if teh phone is paid off. whats worse is they can stop using their tmobile service, pull teh sim out and the imei is free and clean, 30 days after a missed payment... well sucks to be you if this is true..

if this is the case then i would strongly suggest to be very careful when purchasing used/"new" tmobile devices from third parties

True. For a minute I considered buying the T-Mobile GS4 from another seller, but after reading about different things that may happen when purchasing a phone from those places, I saw that buying the phone from the retail store was the safest option. At least I have the peace of mind knowing I'm the first person to use this phone and I owe nothing to T-Mobile. I won't have to worry about the phone being blocked because of what the previous owner may do after I purchase the phone from them.... Not that you won't have honest seller, but it's a bit pricey to risk it.

Depending on official price, the Moto X will be a great buy. Even with my vocal dislike of Motorola, I've decided to grab one myself. Only because I want to drop t mobile and move to ATT's pre paid since it offers LTE now.

We'll find out the skinny tomorrow

Ok confusion was sort of sorted out seems most t-mobile phones don't need to be unlocked from what I was told by my dealer anyways he will be here later to post and answer any questions you might have. Ya know him from Murphys cell repair channel on YouTube. Also he added all IPhones so indeed need to be unlocked. And Verizon iPhone can't be used.
