Default [rom][port][unofficial][aospa 4.2.2] paranoidandroid 3.15 (May16)

This is a port of Paranoid Android 3.10 for the d2vzw compiled by Notta on XDA.

All credits go to him as well as the Paranoid Android Team.

The usual disclaimers apply, as I am not responsible should anything happen to your device if you choose to flash this. If your phone was to randomly burst into flame, turn into a zombie and chase your cat around the house, or start farting rainbows and pixie dust, still not my problem.

Official PA thread can be found at:http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1619582
The d2vzw thread can be found here http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1858298

So I really like this ROM and noticed it got an update on the 6th. Have you ported that one yet? If so, I would really appreciate for chance to download it. This is becoming my daily driver

hey mike just tossing out my 2 cents, you may wish to look into something like the other ports have where the rom is provided and then a "fix" zip is included that will alter it to being a d2mtr rom. that way the zips on your end would be smaller and easier to update, especially with you having so many ports i know it can be overwhelming sometimes .

I can't get PIE to work. When I first installed the ROM it worked but after I played around with the hybrid settings, i couldn't get it to work anymore. Any ideas on how to fix? Thanks!

If you're in tablet mode, it only works when you hide the navigation bar.

Default Developer Options

I may have overlooked something but I have been through all of the settings at least 5 times and cannot find the developer options settings. Has something gone horribly wrong with the flash of this ROM or am I just not looking in the right area?

Have to ask. Did you wipe Delvik/Cache and do a clean install?
Also did you attempt to upgrade from a different ROM the was 4.1.1/4.1.2 or 4.2.2 was was the previous ROM CM10.1/AOKP base or AOSPA based like Paranoid?
When I first flashed to PA i have to wipe delvik/cache and wipe the system directory from TWRP to get the camera to connect correctly.

Oh okay. So you might want to add that in order to read texts in messaging app. I thought it was optional

Actually i think i am going to build the themed apps directly into the ROM. I am still learning to theme the apps myself.
i am currently uploading a version of the ROM with the themed apps already included.

I had the same problem and then I flashed this. It fixed the view so its now its fine on the holo theme. But the MMS still isn't working.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that it does not close when I use settings.

I flashed the fix from this thread http://androidforums.com/metropcs-galaxy-s3-all-things-root/688911-metropcs-4g-mms-fix-zips.html , MMS works fine now.

I have this same issue. I let the boot ani run for 20 mins before I pulled the battery and restored my AOKP backup.

Last time I tried it, it was the March 15 version and it worked perfectly. Just make sure you wipe factory reset and system and flash the ROM ported to us and not the actual rom on XDA.

I am currently working on my first attempt to build from source. Keep your eyes open for my updates. It is a challenge but I feel it would be worth it. The first I build should be PA3.5 with the Alpha Halo notifications.

Hey I just downloaded the Parandroid Rom and did everything, now it has been 20 minutes on the boot logo and not moving, I tried restarting the phone and doing it all over again, but still nothing. Any Help?

Unfortunately it appears that something has gone very wrong with this ROM. I was able to use this ROM without a problem in late March but just re-downloaded it and I now get the same problem you have run into. It will not move past the boot logo. The dev needs to address this since it used to work without any problems. Until the dev addresses this, move on to another ROM.

updated OP to latest Port from today May 16th. This is NOT PA3.5 with HALO. I am still working on that but wanted to give everyone a little something of an update. If you want this ROM to stay more current let me know.

Can anyone host this rom somewhere else? It's telling me that it is going to take over 12 hours to download the 158mb file.

ok guys it looks like i may have my first build from source ready today...so if you want to test keeps a look out. i will continue to port the version that i KNOW works until all the bugs are woked out so we can not only test but have a daily runner.

it will be PA3.15 since HALO has not been released yet to open source. they will not release it until it is ready and all the logistics/bugs are ironed out.

but once i have a daily runner it will be easier to get PA3.5 up and running for us.
