Probably you'll be ok - just remember, it might work as a network source - but it was not designed like a modem/router to be used 100% that way all of the time.
Maybe use your hand as a rough thermometer - if in doubt, a tool like System Panel Lite (free in the market) can give you a temperature readout. Maybe keep it below 37 or 38 degrees Celsius overall.
You can use on a cooling surface to control that - but nothing like ice packs or the like - or the temperature oddities will cause condensation - water condensation is bad for running electronics.
