Too few details. You can get latest roaming list by updating prl, no need for software. I doubt and software update oz going to fix the crappy 4g switching to 1x all the time here.
Since the day i got this phone i have used fotakill to stop invasion of my device. IF i did update or had to unbrick i would install it again first before i first connect it to any carrier. this way there is no un expected surprices and you have more control of YOUR phones.

I'm quite aware of the multiple radios and antennae in our device. If metro doesn't have the physical infrastructure to support it in my area I don't see an immediate need for this update.

I never even HAD the problem of switching to 1X or EV in South Florida
UNTIL I did the Software Upgrade ( actually a Downgrade )- in 2 months on 77010c software I never lost 4G signal-
Now on 77010d- I've lost 4G about 5 times and had to call Metro to send
refresh twice.
Also-version d uses about 50 to 80 or more meg of RAM( ! ¡ ) ,
-Developer Options- Limit # of Background Processes- when I set limit to
4 works and saves RAM - but every time phone is shut off this setting
reverts back to "standard limit " and I have to reset.
There are other issues as well .
Trying to get LG to go back to Software Version c and tweak that to get to
version e but don' t think I 'm talking to the right people.
My LG Motion 4G phone from MetroPCS, and according to the gathered information, it goes with firmware MS77010d_03 (but I use MS77010c_03 and it seems to work just as well). Both firmware appear to be clocked to 1.5Ghz. I suppose there must be some kind of mistake with the clock speed, because the original firmware that this phone comes with is 1.2Ghz.
Also, upon flashing either firmware, I notice that the phone reboots itself at IPARAM=80 (or somthing like that). It always reboots at 80, with both firmwares.
That wouldn't be an issue, but the program on the computer isn't finished yet, and continues through to 100. Whatever is supposed to be written at 81 through 100 is not getting through. (obviously, the computer program was written by LG, so I don't know why it doesn't appear to be working correctly.) The computer OS is Windows XP Pro.
Regardless, although the firmware writing doesn't finish completely on the computer side, it still appears to be flashed and running properly on the phone.
I would love to know how to get the firmware to finish writing 100% if anyone figures it out.
LG screwed up the clock speeds.
It's the correct firmware.
The skipping numbers thing does that on EVERY LG phone (that I have unbricked so far). I'll make a guide that is more dated on how to get firmware yourself and you'll see the firmware is for your phone. I've used that thread you linked to grab firmware for many LG phones.
You seem to be misinterpreting what I said, but I was just stating facts for everyone. In the OP, you write "Unknown where it will clock you at". Well I'm letting everyone know that it's 1.5Ghz, and this does not match the firmware that came with the phone. I never blamed you, and I'm not saying you posted the wrong firmware.
The firmware that downloads from LG, and the firmware that comes preloaded with the phone, have different clockspeeds. That's all.

yes it doesnt match what came with phone because somewhere along the way, LG changed the clock speed and I guess they haven't noticed it even still...i could send an e-mail asking them why the speeds are different...but then they would probably make a new update with 1.2 GHz speeds.
I've had problems a week after I bought the phone.. It keeps restarting randomly and sometimes will do it 20 times in a row.. I just put this firmware on here today and it still keeps randomly rebooting and crashing apps.. Is there anything I can do?

Some have said the update (MS77010d) fixed some minor reboot problem they had.

Sammyz suggestion is good. I've used both firmware, and I never had a problem with either. You might want to try installing "no-frills cpu control" to throttle your CPU to 1.2Ghz (requires root)

i am still on C and have seen recent 4g drops as well as complete data lock out recently in south florida . but on a good side , i have seen areas with increased data 9down /3up , that were marginal 2up/3down only the week before . i think SFL is still evolving.

If you need firmware for another LG phone, don't hesitate to ask. I do need a serial number though, just PM it to me with the model number of the phone.

I hard bricked my motion! That's not something to be happy about, but I've always wanted to do the impossible. Don't mix cm10 with every tweak out of pmr....

I'll make an addition in my guide for what to avoid, since we have recovery we do have an actual chance of hard bricking now. I have back up motions for days (sounds like a bad kama sutra joke) so I can run the risk, not everybody has that same luck. Post 3 in my guide will be what to avoid at all costs.
