Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped
This message continues appearing in my Motorola Atrix 2.
It just upgraded as it is typically a push from Android.
I have no idea why they did this to me or who authorized them to change to a complete new system. Things look different and I even lost some applications.
Does anybody know to to fix this since whoever pushed this in my phone just messed it up?
Unfortunatelly Motorola will blame Android and Android will blame Motorola.
I have nothing to do with this, I did not authorized and they just messed me up.
The first screen I am finding now been able to enter was files. It now says application is not installed. I also tried Skype and it will only start it but when the android process acore stop sign shows, and I press ok it bounces me out.
Try turning off the device and pulling the battery out for a few minutes, then try putting it back in and starting it back up. If that doesn't work try a factory data reset. That usually fixes any bugs after you update your software.
Removing the battery and SD card DID NOT work.
Is there a way to get someone who authorized this change in my phone so I get it back as it was? I am also very concerned about all my contacts and information and paid applications.
This has to stopped.
I did not authorized this change.
I paid for this and some clown made a change on what I paid.
I feel I have been robbed.
This is incredibly frustrating.
Did anyone else touch your device without permission? I can't imagine they would push they update without you accepting it.
If you do a factory reset you will lose your apps and contacts unless you back them up first. It shouldn't delete the SD card contents if you do, but you can take out the SD card just to be safe.
I'm very sorry this is frustrating and I'm afraid that once you get a software update you can't revery back unless, of course, you root your device I believe.
No one touched it.
Actually I was in the middle of typing something when it appeared.
Typically I get updates "pushed" automatically.
I must have pressed the "yes" if it asked, which I do not remember it did.
Will I get the same software I had before if I do a Factory reset?
I'm afraid that wont get rid of the update once you downloaded it.
The factory reset, however, should resolve the problems you're experiencing after the update. I believe through root you can downgrade your current version, but for the best answer for that you'll have to ask the members in your devices All Things Root section.
If you do a factory reset make sure to back up all your settings, contacts, etc. or you'll lose it.
Do you mind telling me how to back up all the info such as contacts, applications, etc? I am afraid I have invested plenty of time and some money on this device and I would hate to loose all these.
Thanks for your help.
My pleasure. Is till very sorry about your trouble here.
Go to contacts > menu > (If you see this setting) more > move contacts > Then move your contacts to your google account. You should be able to if they're there by going to www.google.com/contacts As for applications let me get back to you on that, but if you sync your google account and go into the market you shouldn't have to re-purchase them, but I'll look about backing apps up.
The Motorola ATRIX 2 is AT&T's followup to their original ATRIX 4G. It won't differ much in terms of specs, but this would bring Ma Bell up to speed with more recent offerings from Sprint and Verizon in the Photon 4G and the DROID Bioni... Read More
