Lol well soon as AT&T announces a Honeycomb tablet I'll sell it. The Motorola Xoom looks awesome but I don't want to be on Verizon. I could sell it and just do the laptop dock webtop thing.
Or you could get the wifi only xoom coming in April
Not me. I still have the new iPod touch that I carry around with me as well as my mytouch3G. There are certain things ios does well and I would rather not lose that functionality. Maybe if android gets a streaming Netflix app I would consider dumping my iPod.

Psh, I've had to put up with a Backflip for almost a year. I was all set to jump to WM7 until CES this year. Thank God AT&T got their Android shit together.
Feb. 7 is my update date, but I hope it drops a couple weeks before that to get some solid reviews in.

yeah and if all the VZW/Iphone rumors are true, AT&T will need to release something to retain customers lol.
on the side though, I cant wait for Iphone users to jump to verizon. I work for AT&T and the dumbest customers are usually Iphone customers (no offense to anyone who owns one...its just demographics)

I know some very intelligent Mac users, then there's the iTards. Happens in every Os environment unfortunetly. I would hope it's just that for the most part Mac users expect it "to just work", but no, that's not really the case.

Apple more than most technology/computer companies has incredible brand equity and extraordinary curb appeal, so they do get a ton of folks who flock to them for reasons like "everybody has one" or "they're really kewl".
That being said, there's some really compelling reasons to purchase Apple products: beautiful industrial design, outstanding build quality, superb customer service and the whole end-to-end experience.

Lets be real about this, Apple makes some really good products and even better hardware. I wish some Android phone makers would take some notes on hardware design. Even though the iPhone 4 is overhyped software wise, the hardware is beautiful.

you are correct beautiful phone i think secretly every droid owner wished that iOS was android like in its useability

Haha, I'm with you. I've had my Backflip since around May and my upgrade comes February 4th. I like my Backflip but I can't wait to get something better.

It's pretty, but someone needs fired! Glass on the front and back is just a dumb idea.

I can deal with the glass on the back far better than the flimsy battery covers say like on the Incredible that creek and break. The real problem with the glass on the back is the type of glass they used. If they would have used say Gorilla glass or some other type of scratch resistance glass then it wouldn't be a big problem. As far as drops, well I don't drop my phones and I'd be pissed whether it was the iPhone 4 or my Droid Incredible.

I disagree, they have been know to have issues both on hardware and software on all their models. Stop making the iphone to be more special than what it is.

I've had ALL models of the iPhone and I can tell you. They are built better than any other phones I have ever had. There is something to be said for sealed phones that contain a lot of metal and glass.
Technological (antenna) problems have nothing to do with build quality.

I contacted a few places and asked them about the phone, and I really hope they are wrong.

They are probably talking about LTE phones, the Atrix 4G will most defiantly come way before then. If they are talking about the Atrix 4G then I don't think they know what they are talking about.

@ScuroRaven
The manager at my local authorized retailer (an old grade school friend of mine) told me yesterday that AT&T hasn't announced anything internally yet, but that he was informed "by the end of March" for the Atrix and the HTC Inspire, "someone later" for the Samsung whatever (coming from a Samsung, I an NOT interested in that one at all) and those were sent out the day of announcement at CES. He said he will email me when he finds out anything (he wants the Inspire), but that this whole thing looks like the Craptivate launch last summer- which points to about a month after announcement. I'm thinking mid-february for it...
I should probably add that he said he never gets firm launch dates until the sales materials come in, about a week in advance or so, prior to that he gets date-ranges and approximations just telling him to make sure his staff is up-to-date on the features of the product...

yea i agree why would they even waste the air space now
I agree, that is just like the Galaxy S series launch last summer, we are about a month out or so, unless they rush it due to the whole Verizon
iPhone launch thing today...
Just to reiterate as of what I know now its looking still as a Feb 5 launch for Atrix and a march 1st for Inspire late march to mid June for Infuse. I will check in probably next tuesday with my guys and see if anything has changed. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that if the iPhone 4 is official for everyone on Feb 10 there gonna bump the Atrix to last week of Jan
Best Buy actually gets phones the same day or before carrier stores. The Evo Shift was released 1/6 to Reward Zone customers, 1/7 to everyone else and Sprint stores didn't sell them until 1/9.

Um you just proved my point lol online to RZ customers then in stores then Carrier
BUT, if there is a pre-order, it will be thru AT&T first.
Thats not always guaranteed all depends on how and if best buy has a deal set up for the phone. Alot of the carriers/manufactures like the best buy scenario because you reach the most people in the shortest time
As in the case of the Captivate. I pre-ordered from AT&T weeks before it was available anywhere. I don't know how they determine what phones they put up for pre-order.

I dont know either but the EVO Shift 4G was available at BB before anywhere so it all depends on the arrangement i guess
The Motorola Atrix 4G brings several firsts to AT&T's lineup, among them a dual-core CPU in the form of NVIDIA's Tegra 2 platform. The CPU is clocked at 1GHz per core, providing enough zip to match the HSPA+ connectivity and 4G download... Read More
