I installed the ADW Launcher on my Atrix. But can't seem to figure out how to switch back to the MotoBlur, if I wanted to.
I remember on my Inspire, if I wanted to switch back to the Sense, I'd go to Settings \ Applications \ ADW Launcher, and select the button, "clear defaults".
But, that trick doesn't seem to work here. Any ideas? I know I can uninstall ADW Launcher, and that reverts to MotoBlur. Obviously I'd rather not have to do that each time...
...oddly enough, I tried that earlier, and that didn't help.
I guess I need to figure out the 'true' name of the MotoBlur launcher, and then look for that in applications, then try the 'clear defaults' on that one, or even the 'force stop' option.
The problem is that for some reason the other launchers are not getting set as the default. You can grab an app called homeswitcher, that will let you swap between them, but whenever you then hit the home button, you get thrown back to ADW, or launcherPro, or whatever you have installed. homeswitcher will tell you that no default has been set, and that is why clearing defaults will not help you.
I haven't found a way around this, and it's kind of strange. I'm betting it has to do with how Blur is worked into the software.
Edit: one thing you might try, but i haven't tried myself, is freezing ADW with titanium backup. Freezing it might make it so that blur works when you want it, then unfreeze to go back to ADW.
Edit #2: the above method does in fact work.

Try this, in settings go to applications and find adw then when you select it should show you the option to uninstall but if you scroll down should have option to clear default or something of that nature it's at the bottom and then when you hit home it should give you 2 options of blur or adw and jus select one and if you like switching just don't make it as default

Yea an app like Home Switcher makes it easier for going back n forth between launchers.
Since Froyo, Home Switcher wasnt able to keep defaults set and it always went back to the previous launcher. You need the 2.2 version of Home Switcher or try a few other ones.
I use Home Switcher for Froyo, (yea its called Home Switcher for Froyo) Launcher Switcher or Home Smack. I havent decided which one I like best.

You have to have Titanium Backup to do this, and it seems that titanium backup requires that you root the phone. Is that correct?
DESCRIPTION
This is a fix for the default Home app on MotoBlur Phones (Droid X, Droid 2, etc) If you won't have a MotoBlur devices then this app is NOT for you. MotoBlur won't let you set the default Home app back to default as long as you have another Home replacement app like LauncherPro or ADW installed. This tiny utility lets you set the stock MotoBlur Home app back to default without having to uninstall all of your Home replacement apps.
