i have a new motorola backflip, just activated a few days ago, everything works great except when someone send me a pic message i dont get it... it doesnt even send a noticing saying there was an attempt. i can send them out no problem. i thought maybe it was the other persons phone, but i had several others try to send me something but still... nothing!!
anyone else have this problem or know why it might be doing this?

Usually problems sending MMS messages are problems on the AT&T end (call and have them check that your account is set up properly in their system) or to file size (file too large).
I've been having the same issue for almost a month now. I called and called and called and troubleshooted to no avail. Well I'm now having to wait on a replacement refurb phone from them. Its a carrier/manufacturer software issue. So let them know that another AT&T user was having the same problem and to have them replace the phone or get a different phone. Its not worth the hassle at the moment. I've done everything possible to troubleshoot it including restoring it to the factory settings. But yes you're not the only one having this issue. If I put my sim into one of my other phones I can receive the messages just fine. Its the software on the backflip that's hindering it... Leave it to At&t to stick it to the customers again.
I spoke with someone and after the third replacement and seeing whether and troubleshooting. I finally got them to send something to a higher power to get some stuff done about the problem with the backflip. I'll keep people posted on whats going on.
