Default Disable Sound Notifications During Calls

Is there any way to disable sound and vibrate notifications during a call? I know some apps give you this option like Handcent. But what about Gmail, Touchdown, GTalk?

Thanks

On my phone, running gingerbread 2.3.6 you do it like this:

Settings--> Call --> Call alerts--> Alerts On Call

Then you simply uncheck the box. Hope this helps you!
