I just had this problem last weekend with my Samsung Vibrant, and finally after about 8 hours of trying to figure out what I could do to try and fix the problem, I decided to do a factory reset. I did the system backup with all of the media, apps, and settings, and then went to check on the connection one last time, and found it was actually working, so I did not have to factory reset the Vibrant after all.
If you can, give it another day to see if it fixes itself. If you can't wait that long, try to work it out with AT&T technicians first, and if all else fails, do a backup, and factory reset.
Good luck!
