repeat contacts

not sure why, but some of my contacts have 3 repeat entries.

I just got the phone and heres what I've done:

1)to get my contacts from my BB to my new cliq, I synced the address book with address book on my mac, and sent them right to the Cliq

2)i downloaded Handcent to use as my texting app

Can anybody tell me what happened, so that I can prevent it?
