OK, you say you have turned "OFF wifi and data transfer option". Are you saying you have totally shut down your data (3G & wifi)? Not sure what you mean exactly, but I have noticed on my Defy (not a plus) that sometimes when it's hunting for a data signal, and can't find one, it goes crazy on me. I presume this is caused by something on the phone trying to "get data". Do you get rebooting with data ON?
