Phone reboots while talking - android 2.3.6 OS

Hi all,

I got a Motorola defy plus piece with, android 2.3.6 OS, just 2 days ago, and I did not install any apps as of now. Only thing I enabled is the gmail sync. I turned off wifi and data transfer options.

The phone reboots while I am talking. Doesn't seem to have a consistent pattern. I was able to attend a call for 25 minutes, which did not end abruptly. But in the next call the phone rebooted while I was speaking for 4-5 mins...

Are you using bluetooth when you have the reboot issue?

My phone's browser keeps crashing whenever I load a webpage with a lot of YouTube videos embedded on it.

Although the phone doesn't reboot.

OK, you say you have turned "OFF wifi and data transfer option". Are you saying you have totally shut down your data (3G & wifi)? Not sure what you mean exactly, but I have noticed on my Defy (not a plus) that sometimes when it's hunting for a data signal, and can't find one, it goes crazy on me. I presume this is caused by something on the phone trying to "get data". Do you get rebooting with data ON?
