Default The camera doesn´t work

My camera simply doesn´t work. When I open the camera I get a black screen, no matter what I do. Anyone experienced the same?

yeah i got this too. i could still take pictures but just couldnt see what i was taking a picture off. i tried rebooting a couple of times in the end i was actually forced to flash a custom rom (i wanted to anyway, it was just the excuse i needed. lol.) if you are still on the stock rom try a factory reset.

Is it a custom rom? Early Defy came with "green lens" (SOC module), later, inc. Defy +, "red lens" (Bayer module), or so I've read. Mine has green. It's the reason I've not jumped to CM7 or others, there is camera bug, searching for signal / overheating bug, other bug.... or so I've read. Apparently CM7 is for 'red lens' but they are working on rom for SOC module. Still not sure about the other bugs, they seem to make the phone less than perfect for me thus defeating the object!
