Default Major Problems

First, the dialler stops working, eg, I press the dialler button, nothing happens, then I can't get a mobile signal at all, then my earpiece.goes. I just unrooted (I think it will get me my warranty back). Will it?
I have changed the boot logo when I had root, and can't get the Motorola one back. I did a factory reset, and still no luck. Shall I get a new one under the warranty I might not have?

OK... I have no idea about your root/unroot issues, so would ask that question here: Motorola Defy - xda-developers

But I presume, even after unrooting, you are still having all the same issues?

Sorry to hear about the earpiece issue. That may be a seperate physical issue on it's own that needs repair. I would use RSD Lite to flash an official UK rom, then send it in for warranty repair. Had to do this myself recently.

Flashed a nordic sbf and fixed all including the earpiece - somehow. Maybe it was a software issue?

Yes, there have been some reports in posts suggesting on rooted phones the earpiece can go out or get low. However, keep an "ear on it" as if it goes again, as has been said, you made need it physically replaced. Glad you're back up and running!
