Default After Uninstalling GO Launcher EX the home screen went blank

I was using GO Launcher EX on my Motorola DEFY and I've uninstalled it without changing the default Launcher settings as I wasn't aware of it. Now I can only access the notification bar and the home screen is blank/black. I do receive notifications but when clicked they don't seem to do anything before they disappear from the notification bar.

I've tried re-installing the GO Launcher EX from www.play.google/store, though the download starts on the phone, I'm not sure if the app is installed or not.

I'd like to know if there is a way to enable a default launcher in the current situation.

Thanks in Advance

Hard Reset to the Factory Settings helped me get my phone back to working mode.
