Default 2 New voicemails -- How to remove this notification?

I have a Motorola Devour from Verizon and it continuosly displays "2 New voicemail(s)" even when my voice mailbox is empty. Does anyone know how to clear this notification? It's a pain because I never really know when I have voice mails or not...since it always says I have 2.

Had the same problem. Have verizon activate the voicemail account, delete them and then cancel it. Takes about 5 minutes.

Oops I may have misread this. I assumed it was a deactivated account. Sorry.

Mine does the same thing where a "missed call" will show up 5 hours after, even though I have already cleared the notifications. Have you tried calling your voicemail? Sometimes if I go into my recent calls, the missed call notification will go away even after I have cleared it.

When you delete the voicemails you have to end star to end the call so the deletes and saves you made will take. You can't just delete it and then hang up.
