Angry Market bug - SOLVED

Moved from Droid 1 to Devour. When I search for apps, for instance, Songbird, initially I get the message that it has found 73 results. Well, once I start scrolling down the list, I see 8 apps, then the message changes to "There are no matches in Android Market for the search: songbird", even though the first two results are "Songbird Remote Free" and "Songbird Remote Pro".

So, I went to the Songbird website, and followed the links to the web version of the Android market and found the app. The site says that I have installed Songbird, but there is no app in the list, and there was never any indication on the phone that there was an app being downloaded or installed.

What is going on here? I never had this problem with my original Droid, but at least the Devour touchscreen works.

TIA,

Alex

Default Lame phone

OK. Nevermind. Figured it out.

Here's the answer for those who have been searching for it: note that you made a big mistake getting a Devour. It's a lame, hobbled, little-sister version of an Android phone. Most apps in the market are not compatible with this phone. My Droid 1 has more capabilities, and more apps, than this.

Big mistake by Motorola. Too bad I'm stuck with it.

I've heard it better described as the ginger-haired stepchild of the original Droid family. But yes, it is a dead-end, crippled and locked-down device that put me off Motorola phones for good. If I hadn't gotten this phone, I might have thought the Droid Razr was a sexy piece of ass. Now I glance at it and say "pass," When did you get this phone, and why, and how much longer do you have to put up with it?
