Default Problem playing music locally from the Droid 2G

I have a Droid 2Global and generally love the phone. It has one glitch that is driving me nuts though. When I play music from the SD card (locally, NOT streaming) I get digi noise sort of periodically during music playback. Sort of ticks scratches. I tried installed a new micro SD (moved from the stock Class 2 to a Class 6) with more memory and higher class but still get this behavior. Again, I do not get this problem while streaming music (Pandora, Google music, Live 365 etc) ONLY when playing my own stuff from the SD card locally.

Anyone seen this or heard of it? Is there anything I could realistically do about it?

Thanks,

Andy

You might try a different music player like RockPlayer Lite for Android | AppBrain.com to see if it's the player or the phone.

It seems to happen with both the stock music player and Winamp. But I"ll check out some other players and see if that clears it up.
