Because the Android Facebook app is junk, never has worked as advertised.

It worked fine on my LG ally .. Never lost the fb contact pix

Think it may be since I keep Data saver On and the Backround Data Off to save bat life ??

Do you lose them for good? It shouldn't matter once you have them if you have background data on or not.
