GMAIL on Droid 2 Global

Maybe somebody can help me. My wife's Droid 2 Global, when she gets a Gmail message and she opens it, she can't read it. It's in bold when it shows up on the list of mail, but when she taps on it, it's not there. This ONLY occurs when people reply to her email.
Any ideas?

Does she have more than one Google profile? I had a similar issue right after You Tube was purchased by Google. I then had two Google profiles. While they say its OK to have more than one Google profile loaded up, I was finding that it was doing more harm than good. So I took the one profile off, and all was well.
