Notsure my droid 2 still has service?

Ok so i have my droid 2 fully flashed to cricket wireless after 2 months of paying

service i stopped paying so that means no data or talking since i am not paying

but a month pass by and i was looking through my droid and i saw the 3g

connection symbol on the top bar so i clicked the browser and what do you

know i had internet but i couldn't make calls so i started downloading app so i

can text for free and make calls for free and it worked i had a phone that could

do everything without paying a penny but a month pass by and the 3g

connection symbol was gone and i didn't have internet anymore so i said

oh well fun while it lasted but than another month pass by and there

it was again the 3g symbol and i had everything again but that lasted only

3 weeks

so i went to options on my phone clicked about phone and then clicked

statues and it says service:in service but i didn't have the 3g symbol

so i know im new to this but isn't there a way i could get free internet

on my droid 2 permantly since it says in service and i get free internet from

time to time

like isn't there a way to hack it or something thanks
