Default format DROID 3 and install Android 4.0 Platform (ice cream) without any carrier

I have a Motorola DROID 3 and I would like to format all system and install the new Android 4.0 (ice cream) without depend of any carrier.

Is there possible? And how could I do that?

I feel you may run into a TON of hardware issues. Check out the CM9/ICS thread over in the XDA Dev Forum. Hashcode has buggy keyboard issues as well as no audio problems and no camera. I feel it's not too simple.

This would be the thread you are looking for, but I wouldn't say ICS on the D3 is quite ready for the masses just yet. Patience.
