Default please help, i am having issues with my backlight

on my droid 3 when i open the keyboard, the back light immediately gos out, which has become a problem for when i want to reply to a text message or an email, the screen goes so dim i cant read anything. Can someone please try and help me that would be great.

i would suggest you change your display to auto or some set brightness level, check the screen timeout time as well i hope this helps you.

If ZeroOne's fix doesn't work, and a factory reset doesn't work, it sounds like it's bad hardware and time for a call to Verizon.

The keyboard backlight is a KNOWN issue for the Droid3. If your DISPLAY is going out, then yes, the above suggestions are perfect.

That was an issue on my Droid 3. They did a factory reset, and it still didnt work. It was a malfunctioning unit. Then my adventure began (story in other post about Verizon).
