Default Keyboard light on and off, why?

Recently bought the Droid 4 after having an Eris for about 2 years. I am pleased so far except for a few minor complaints, but then again, anything is better than the Eris.

My physical keyboard continually lights up and turns off while I am typing. Am I covering up a sensor with my fingers due to the way I am holding it?

I find it annoying and would like to resolve the problem if possible.

It's a light sensor thing, I'm sure. I believe the light sensor is somehere in between the front camera and the earpiece. You may be typing in a weird area, much like I am right now. If I tilt my phone towards the mall with its glass ceiling, keyboard goes off. If I tilt it towards the darker area, it turns on. I'm in a chair waiting for my buddy who's the bathroom.

Thanks for the help, I'm sure it's something along those lines.

And just f.y.i., I am replaying Metroid Prime currently for about the 10th time.

Great game.

On a different note, let us know if you experience this problem with your phone:
