Smile Motorola Droid Bionic Pics Spotted In Wild

Motorola is on loose, yesterday we have seen the Leaked Tutorials of Motorola Droid 3 and today we have Droid Bionic pics spotted in wild with Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Capability. From the pics it also shows that the device features 8 MP camera with Auto-Flash and a capability of recording HD videos in 1080p. It also sports new Moto Blur. The intresting part is it features a webtop connectivity too with a dock. This device is pretty cute and remaining specs are not known. We are hoping that it will be releasing soon..Stay tuned..!!

With the curve above the Verizon logo it almost looks like a slider.

Maybe part of the reason for the delay was to make it compatible with the Atrix type dock? Or maybe just to get a the LTE compatible choose in it. Or he'll all of the above?

I was excited to see this first, but some folks claim it's just picture of D3. It looks quite similar to D3 photos, videos when I look at it again. But D3 is not supposed to be LTE phone, so then it must be Bionic I hope.

This looks pretty legit. The front of it though on the bottom does look like it has a sliding keyboard, which the Bionic does not (hopefully).

I spot 2 speakers on the back. If so I wonder would that help for loudness. Thats one thing I kinda missed about my Droid 1 going to the Droid X1.

And for awhile some folks thought the Droid X1 was a slider. Looking at the Droid X1 from the side it kinda does. I dont think this is a slider. If anything check the back of the Droid 3 and see if it has 2 speaker grills. The back looks different to me.

4.5 sounds like the max I would do for a screen...

I really like the look of the phone, a lot better now to me. I like the look of the Droid, and looks has a look close to that without a physical keyboard. If the bootloader isn't locked, I'm in.

If not, I am not sure.

I am with ya bud. Locked bootloader will make the choice difficult. However, without any other choice, I am in.

New info indicates this will have a 4.5 inch screen. I think that kills this one for me. That just seems too big for a phone. What do you guys think?

Your a little late on the size thing. I think I would like 4.5 for the bonus real estate but I would have to look at it first. I think the At&t infuse is 4.5. I will have to check that out.

I thought my Droid was too big when I got it. At 3.7" it was one of the biggest phones at the time (the only one I can think that was bigger was the HTC HD2). When I heard there were 4-4.3" phones coming out, I figured that was too large. But after doing an awful lot of playing with these phones and starting to rely on my phone for more and more internet and media, I really kinda like the sound of 4.5".

One thing I loved about the Charge was that it's size was actually just right for my hand. I could on thumb type quite naturally on it (even more so than the same size TB, Revo, and DX2). Now, I'm thinking 4.5" might be the way for me to go.

^Yea...what drew me to the Droid 1 was at the time it was one of the biggest screens on a phone.

I got my Droid X1 sight unseen and couldnt be happier. Ppl here n there did make remarks about the size. Not so much now. I said in the past 4.5 might be the max I would do. So the size isnt an issue to me. I swear when going back n forth between my Droid 1 and DX1....the Droid 1 seems so small...lol Once you get used to the bigger screen, I feel you wont wanna go back.

the camera on this is different not to mention the mic next to the camera. These are definitely 2 different phones.

I agree when I went back to a droid 1 from a droid X I kept thinking wow this is small and then when i had an incredible it was the same way. I think with very little bezel 4.5 is the biggest I would take but this phone is looking good. I went in and played with the infuse 4g and it didnt feel that much larger than my tb. I will wait and play with one in store and then decide but this is looking like my next phone since I am due for an upgrade in july and who knows when this will be out.

I can agree there. I have a Dinc and picked up a Charge for a test drive. Man, it was tough going back to the 3.7" screen, especially from the beautiful screen the Charge has. Too bad it doesn't have much else going for it.

Man do I agree! IMO, and this is just my opinion...its 2011, most people should be able to type on a virtual keyboard by now! I Honestly hope this thing doesn't have a physical keyboard.

If it has a physical keyboard, I am all out... for sure! I would HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt it would. That is what the D3 is for. Not a big market for a physical keyboard, although I guess there is a void right now because there isn't an LTE device with one.

To me 4.5 is pushing the barrier of how BIG a phone should be! I have pretty big hands, and a 4.3 is actually perfect for me. 4.5 may feel juat a tad to big and goofy. Let's not forget the Bionic will have LTE onboard, so there is no shot of it being as thin as the Infuse. Might be an indication as to why there is no side profile shots leaking out. A thick 4.5 LTE phone to me is not appealing ...

You are back to your Inc as well? I left the DX2 due to ram issues and not wanting to have to just "hope" the issues get fixed.

I really don't care how big the screen size is on the phone, 4.5 should be fine for me. The Droid X was fine with me, just depends on the phone. How big is the bezel, how wide is the phone, and long is the phone.

I think this phone has a lot of potential.

Yep, Old faithful as I will call her! It has been a great phone for me thus far and really looking for the next step. I tried out the Charge but other than the screen upgrade and LTE it wasn't much of a step up.

Did anyone else notice the app drawer in the additional pics on droid life? It has City ID and Blockbuster installed (boooo!) If Verizon already has their crapware installed, are we looking at a sooner than expected release date?

Looks mighty EXTRA LARGE in those pics next to the Atrix...

But I wouldn't make a decision until I was able to use it and get a feel for it!

I am going to have to see this in person before I make a decision. The specs look great but the 4.5 inch display may be too big for me. Not to mention if you do not use BT headset it will be like holding a brick to your head.

I def prefer the look of this over the previous incarnation. Now, it looks like a Droid. Ladies and gentleman (and the rest of you), make some room. Daddy's back on the bandwagon*.

I worry a little about trying to carry a phone that big, on me, all the time. But, I'm so blind, that hopefully it just makes it that much easier for me to read.

Agreed. I can honestly say I will NEVER buy another phone with a physical keyboard. But it really looks like it has a keyboard. Oh well, hopefully we'll find out soon.

If this were the first of April time frame, I would seriously think this was an April Fools prank. The comparison is absurd level different.

The more I think of all this, the more I hope a Gingerbread update fixes the DX2 problems. The DX2 is mainly a memory allocation and audio pop fix away from being FANTASTIC. Sadly, I have about ZERO confidence they will fix the issues

Just going to throw this out there. I haven't heard anything yet, but have we received any news about the state of the bootloader on this phone? Signed/locked/unlocked?

At the moment, that is the deciding factor for me between the SGS2 and the Bionic.

That's a defy not an atrix. I dont think it will be 4.5 it looks more like 4.3 once you realize that is a defy with a 3.7 in screen.

The more I think of all this, the more I hope a Gingerbread update fixes the DX2 problems. The DX2 is mainly a memory allocation and audio pop fix away from being FANTASTIC. Sadly, I have about ZERO confidence they will fix the issues

If the DX2 had LTE...I would have jumped on board. However, updates are laggging so far behind right now on all these phones...all the new Android phones released recently have not had any significant updates to address any quirks or issues..

Atrix- zippo
Thunderbolt - zippo
G2x- zippo
Charge- zippo (prob never...lol)

Those 4 phones, while each being a pretty big player haven't received anything of significance to correct any issues or at least bring it up to serious Gingerbread speed! Very disappointed in the way the turtle slowness has worked out towards Android these days.

The Infuse is 4.5" and its footprint seems okay, due to it being really thin. My main concern is battery, since the Infuse has amoled tech and the Bionic will be LCD. 4.5" + LTE + dual core = ....

Moto is usually pretty good with battery and they changed the processor because the tegra 2 was killing battery in like 2 hours. I would atleast hope with the new processor it will have decent battery life since dual core is supposed to help battery life.

thunderbolt already got an update to fix some issues and so did the charge from day 1. Not to mention the tb is supposed to be getting gb in june. The g2x is said to be getting gingerbread this week or next so I don't know if you only read this site but many other android sites report that so maybe go check them out.

Most sources say that Bionic will have 4.5" qHD screen. I took a look at Infuse at costco and bestbuy and it really feels like big screen though its thin form factor mitigates it somewhat. I think this race on screen size has gone way too much. At this rate, we might see 5" screen next year. 4.3" is the max size I can take for phone.

We already have a 5''. The Dell streak 5 is a 5 incher and I just noticed this.

That article claims the Nexus 3 is a 5"

But it has no bezel so it will be similar in size to the current 4.3 inch phones. Not to mention that was proven to be a photo shop image

Only 1 source said 4.5 so i wouldnt say most sources. Not to mention when it was first announced they announced it with 4.3 qhd screen so who knows at this point.

4.5 would be awesome..... and I'm really liking what they are trying to do with the phone overall. However, until we see these in users hands, and until I get to use one myself, there are far too many variables for me to say this will be my next phone. But right now it's the Bionic and the SGS2 (if that ever comes to Verizon ungimped) at the top of my list.

A 4.5" display does not add up to me. I am putting my materials manager & demographics hat on:

1. The 4.3" qHD display is a proven panel and a better cost decision- plus already used on the DX2.
2. Since the device is already pushing a dual core and LTE, putting a 4.5" qHD LCD seems like jumping on an already shaking battery life bridge.
3. The cost will be higher
4. The sales would be less, since the size would be prohibitive to some.

Logic and reason suggests the Bionic has a 4.3" display, but based on Motorola's screw up of the Xoom (sdcard, LTE and price point) and the DX2 (funky bad firmware), I do believe logic and reason have left the building at Motorola.

Added:

The Bionic had better go "Nu nu nu nu nuuuuh!" instead of "Droid!" when turned on.

It's not a matter of whether or not someone CAN type on a keyboard that takes up the entire screen and offers no tactile feedback, whose only advantage is an ounce or two less weight and a few mils shaved off the thickness. It's more a question of why would you ever want to type on something that horrible when you can have a keyboard?

I would never type on a physical keyboard, however, it would be nice to have one for gaming. That's about the only reason I would want one personally.
