I got mine and I also got the extended battery. The extended battery is 2760mah. The replacement cover is a bit thicker but does not look bad. It basically makes the whole phone about as thick as the camera hump.
Where did you get yours. They told me that accessories were not out yet. @ Sx4dude2013
Update on battery. 5 hours of the charger with moderate to heavy use and 70% battery left.
VZW corporate store in Statesboro GA - Georgia Southern University.
They had MANY, MANY accessories.
Car chargers, docks, car mounts, external battery chargers, extended batteries, cases (otterbox defender $49.99, a 2 peice case LIKE the otterbox commuter $24.99, a silicone case $19.99, and a TPU case $14.99 *i think*), screen protectors, and the motorola laptop thing with the 11" screen

Just returned my "loaner" Droid Charge, and picked up the Bionic.
No questions were asked, and it seemed pretty routine, according to the staff there. It was a very quick process and I look forward to playing with it when I get more time.
I'm actually impressed with the build quality and its a rather handsome looking device. About the only thing I'm not too fond of, is the location of the power button, but I'll adjust to it.

I just got mine around 9:15 this morning , but they didnt have any extended batteries in stock, any chance you could take a pic for us and show us how it looks? I would REALLY appreciate it!

Unfortunately this Droid Bionic happens to be my only camera at the moment and I don't have enough mirrors to get it to take a good picture of itself :P

DARN! ohh well thank you anyway!
Is the battery cover smooth all the way around, or does it have a hump the shape of the battery?

Apparently Dropbox doesn't like Sharing with others. Uploading to Photobucket now.
They aren't the best quality because they were taken using my OG Droid. As if it isn't bad enough that it's been replaced, now I'm forcing it to take pictures of it's replacement to show off.
The battery door is slightly thicker but now enough to make it a problem.

got it! Only took an hour an a half! Only one person working at the time and a few customers here and there >_< just her trying to multitask inbetween us all
Do you think it will fit with a case or is it too big? My X has an extended battery and fit very snulgy with a case...
It makes the whole phone as thick as the camera area. The case i bought has a bump out for the extended battery but i think a silicon case might stretch over it
got mine... University Pky corporate store in Pensacola, FL. Added the simple silicon skin, car charger, and GPS car mount. I am coming from a work-issued blackberry 8830. So this is basically like going from a bicycle (one of those you see at the beach with the wide handlebars) to a Lambo. This thing is amazing. I already ran a speed test on 4G with one bar and got 6MB/1MB. Can't wait to see what I get in more urban environment (in the sticks now at work).
There were a handful of folks there that looked to be getting the Bionic as well, but the girl who rang me up said she had been getting a lot of questions about it and expected to sell out relatively quickly.

Those pics don't work for me. Might be cause I'm at work?

The Costco near me did not get them in today. Boo. They said they were coming in on the 13th. Guess I'm about to go to the Verizon store this afternoon.
I got mine at a VZW corporate store.. Had the wife check at Costco this morning and when she checked at 10:15 they had already sold out.. o.O Made my decision easy I guess.
Good luck and happy hunting! This thing is fun but I've not had a chance ot really play with it.. that's tonight!
Got mine, and so did my mom. AMAZING DEAL on these. $350 each: I got the phone, case, screen cover, hd dock and cables, nav dock, and car charger. She got the phone, case, screen protectors, standard dock, battery charger and battery, and a car charger. I think thats it, but im sure I forgot something...

I will admit that I would've been happier with a slightly smaller battery and a door that was even with the camera hump.
But I opted to go with an extended battery anyways because I use my phone so stream Slacker Radio for at least 8 hours a day at work. I also use a set of Motorola SD-10 Bluetooth Headphones to listen to it.
On my OG Droid I could kill a battery in 5-6 hours doing that so I always had to keep a second battery plugged in and charging to make it through the night.
I'll be putting the Bionic to the test tonight and will report on how it does. If it can't make the full 8 hours of my shift I will likely be buying a standalone battery charger for my Standard battery to use when the extended dies. Hopefully it doesn't come to that as keeping 2 batteries and 2 battery doors with me would be a hassle.
I was able to stream Pandora for 9 hours at work with my Thunderbolt on the 2750 extended battery. I fully expect the Bionic to be able to do the same since the extended battery is 2760 and the Bionic should be more efficient with its energy use than the Thunderbolt was.
Verizon stores also have the extra battery w/ stand and charger for sale for 29.99. I went that rout because I didn't want the extra bulk on the phone.

My store didn't have them in stock. They would've had to order it anyways so I decided to give this a try. Since I was picking up the shell/holster combo anyways it didn't make a difference in size. The Shell is designed to fit over the extended battery door.
Another good thing:
Even with the shell and extended battery on I can still easily fit the phone into the Nav Dock. No disassembling my phone to use the GPS.

How is the camera? Does it take good pix?

I haven't had a real opportunity to do a lot of testing with the camera yet. All of the reading I have done so far indicates that the phone takes very decent but not great photos.
Got mine at VZ store.
Supervisor was very nice and with some fancy maneuvering, was able to get me (fingers crossed) the $100 rebate on smartphone upgrade even though I was moving from the OG droid. Plus, kept my unlimited data. Made phone $199 rather than $249 all said and done. Now just to make sure the rebate goes through!
Our Bestbuy Mobile store had not gotten their shipment yet. They were only getting 2 anyway and do not expect a big seller.
So I went over to Verizon, used my last $100 new every two and have my Bionic. I broke down and got the extra battery and battery charger and also the HD stand.
Barely used it and have it charging on my desk at work.
I am totally surprised at how light it is and how big. Love it.
Just stopped by the corporate store on Michigan Ave in Chicago. Planned to by it at retail price for $600, since I'm not up for an upgrade for a while. The computer flagged me for some promo because of my corporate discount. They sold me the phone for $600, but threw in a case, an extra battery w/ extra battery charger + the Lapdock (value $300 for the Lapdock) - for only $50 more. So, I got all this for $650.
I'm selling the lapdock on eBay. Hoping I can at least get $200 for it. And I may even sell the extra battery and charger on eBay too. I'm also selling my almost-new Thunderbolt, so I should be able to minimize the damage quite a bit here!
Nice. I went to my local VZW store for 8:50 this morning and there were 10 people already waiting... I managed to weasel in to be 2nd in line!
Anyways, I planed on going to CostCo, but the nearest one is 40mins from me and I do not have a membership, so I would be paying $350 for their deal... Thank god VZW had 25% off accessories because I got the Bionic, home dock, car dock and extended battery for $345 thanks to that and my new every 2 credt!
Picked mine up from a VZW store this morning after the Costco kiosk would not extend my contract...(VZ says eligible for an early upgrade, Costco would not do an early upgrade.) PITA, wasted a few hours of sleep and didn't get the killer bonus pack but it is on my desk and charging at the moment. So far I have done nothing but speedtest it since I'm working but on the 12th floor in a downtown Tampa office building I'm getting 3MBps both up and down. I kept my HTC Incredible since I like it so much... but I am going to give myself the whole two weeks to get used to it before making a final decision. So far I like it, it feels solid, looks nice, will post more after I get to make/take come calls/texts. I enabled swype and it looks fine as well. It is gonna take a lot of getting used to coming from Vanilla Android ROMs and/or HTC Sense.
