Default Sync outlook problem

I downloaded companion link in order to sync outlook with my DROID phone. For some reason the photos in the contacts folder will not sync. So far support is not been able to solve the problem. Does any body out there have any idea how to fix this problem?

Does "downloaded companion link" means that you installed and are using DejaOffice on your Bionic?

I do not use DejaOffice. The write-up in Android Market and their website does not indicate that DejaOffice supports pictures in contacts.

If it is DejaOffice you might want to ask your question in ... Android Applications - Android Forums.

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I am using deja office and your'e correct, their advertisement never suggests that they support contact pictures. The problem here is Companionlink requires dejaoffice on the android, and it does sync pictures when you do it over a usb, but not over their secure air, which is what I wanted. Also, it will sync pictures over Google. I wasn't really interested in pictures at the outset, but Companionlink charges fifty dollars for their product, and for that price I expect everything to work, especially if they are going to charge me 10 dollars a month to do it over the air.
What I really need is to use an auto sync, that is free and I believe that this could be done with Google through Google calendars. But out of curosity, I will try the applications link you gave, and thanks for your help.

Google does a great Job syncing calendar. I sync Outlook calendar into Google and Google then syncs it with my Bionic.

Google does a great job syncing contacts from Google to Bionic and Bionic to Google.

The problem is that there is no automatic sync of contacts from Outlook to Google. Once a week I export them from Outlook into a .csv file and upload them to Google. Google then syncs them to my Bionic.

That approach is ... free.

I had the same problems with contact pictures. With my OG, I was able to link pictures to contacts. When I changed over to the Bionic... the linkage was gone. Android & MS does not support this feature. I re-linked the photos and all seems fine.....

Have you tried the GO Contact Sync Mod? It runs in the background and syncs Outlook contacts with Google. I have been using since my days on an Eris and have had no problems.

Damn you... now I've got to clean up my Outlook Contacts and Google Contacts so I can take advantage of what the GO Contact Sync Mod provides...

Oh crud... just remembered that also means I have to redo all of my rules in Outlook to work with the new contacts and groups that I'll probably import etc... darn it all... lol

@River rat,

Thanks again for mentioning that app... I've been looking for something along those lines for some time... Perhaps someday they will also respect/create the contacts within groups... still it's nice to have a method to sync with.
