Well tried doing the update booted into recovery process started then it aborted with an assert failure.... I cleared data and cache etc... have tried a couple times it just wont go... any clues?
I don't know if the problem was me or you (probably me) but the download of .232 wouldn't finish. It cheerfully downloaded for 15 minutes, told me it had downloaded all MBs of the MBs of the file (sorry, can't remember the exact number), and that I had "0" seconds left to download, but it never completely finished it off. When I closed Chrome at that point (after it did nothing else for several minutes) the download showed up in my Downloads menu as "Cancelled."
I repeated. Same result. Tried (probably stupidly) to proceed with what I'd downloaded and (not surprisingly) got an error. Ended up having to download it from someplace else.

Adara are you talking about the first link, ICS. 232? It just downloaded fine for me and looks like it has 55 downloads. Maybe MediaFire was having a problem. Sorry you couldn't complete your download.
Has anyone else had trouble getting this file?

I noticed people wanting to try out the latest ICS build were having trouble finding links to some of the needed files so I am going to try to help out by hosting the files people are asking for the most. The below files have been used by me several times going from the various ICS leaks and back so I know they work. This post is not intended to provide support for any of the below files, just provide a additional place to get them. Your more than welcome to link to this post but please don't post the download links directly. If you have a problem with any of the links let me know and I'll look at it.
ICS leak .232 http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?t12ysso7q618c88 331 MBWarning, Ics leak 6.7.235 is available but not from here because .232 is the last ICS leak you can go back to the .905 ( gingerbread) upgrade path with.

I must have a crooked eye or something. I was pushing the volume down and the power button to get into the recovery mode!

ICS leak .232 http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?t12ysso7q618c88 331 MB ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *WARNING* 232 above is the last ICS leak you can go back to the .905 ( gingerbread) upgrade path with. Should you choose to flash version .235 below, you'll be on ICS forever due to new encryption used to lock down this version . First, thanks for all the help to those of us less tech knowledged. Quick question, I downloaded and have successfully used ICS for a few weeks now. Unfortunately damaged my phone but through insurance have just gotten a replacement. Would it be best to go back to 905 before I send it back? I'm running 6.7.2233 and loving it.

Asurion use to not care but I don't know how they are these days, if possible you should go back to .905 so you can return a completely stock phone just to be on the safe side. Remember ICS is a leak and officially were not suppose to have it yet

Thanks again. I'm in the process of downloading 905 now but close to two hours? Wow, didn't think it was going to take that long. Well, wish me luck and I truely thank you and all the others who make this site possible.

Yup, I just finished getting the copy to the sd card and tried 3 times. It says E: signature verification failed/ Instal aborted
Ok, so I went back and looked over everything and found I did NOT use the RSD Lite. So I will go back and download that and retry it again.

Reason: Further reading I discovered I missed something.
Yup, this is the broken phone I'm sending back and did get it to 905 with RSDlite. My replacement phone is on 905 too but I think I'm going to go back and ICS it again. I have tasted the IceCream and it is good. Now that I know how to go back to 905 and be able to get OTA updates when it does finally come out it should be easy. Once again, many thanks.
Hey Dragon, flash .232 from sd card, from power up ,holding volume up/down and power,to .905 use rsd.
I'm tired of waiting on Moto and Vz,I might stay on .232.I'm done begging for an update!,Save those files!!!!
Bought my girl a htc rhyme ,the word is the ics update is coming any day for it.I will be absolutely disappointed in both the powers that be if that comes before the bionic.
In windows i USSR a utility called HashTab, it integrates into windows explorer, so that you just select the file, right click, select properties, then pick the hash tab.
There are other utilities as well, but this is by far the most user friendly one that i have found
My bet is not to expect a quick update, b/c the RAZR owners were like beta testers for us. It's also why it us Aug 1st and we still don't have an update.

No root at all, trying to flash the first link posted in the thread, I haven't frozen or deleted any apps that I haven't downloaded off the market (play store)
! I was rooted by one of the "one click" root apps a while back but got rid of it a long long tinge ago!
It is possible that the old root left something behind that is interfering. It is also speculated that the reason ICS has not been released yet is because some Bionics are having problems updating to ICS. You can use the stock modified 5.9.905 fxz file in this thread. It will restore your system if there was something wrong but keep your data at the same time. http://androidforums.com/bionic-all-things-root/480176-how-flash-5-9-902-5-9-905-rsdlite.html When that is done try and flash the 6.7.232 leak again
OK, I have the 232 update sitting on my SD card. I have all the pics, mp3 files, etc. I want to save, on my computer. My real major concern is my contacts. If Back Up assistant is available on 232, I'm all set. If not, is thre a way to store my contacts on my computer? Thanks!

You won't loose contacts when updating but if you do back up assistant works.
Thank you very much to Dautley and dfib. I flashed over to 232 this morning. I lost absolutely nothing. The way I did my flash was to download 232 on my computer and then transfer it to my phone. While it was on my computer, I opened the zip file out of sheer curiosity. I noticed all the Verizon bloatware in there - blockbuster, some NFL app, etc. Can you remove all that crap before you install? I didn't even try, kind of wish now that I had.
I'm on rooted 905 now. I've used Titanium to freeze some bloat and Autorun Manager to disable some intents receivers. Should I try to return everything as close to the bone as possible before upgrading to the 232 leak?
Also, just to double check, do I just copy the whole zip file to external storage? Or are there just certain files that need to be extracted?
Upon further research, it appears that this is related to MD5 checksum failure on the mount_ext3.sh file. I did have forever_root but removed the lines by editing the file as per post #7 here: Status 7 when trying to install the ICS Leak
