Default New to Bionic, SIM necessary?

Just bought a Bionic off of Craigslist. When I turn it on it says no SIM card. Is a SIM necessary for it to work? If so, can I get one from a Verizon store and how much are they?

yes you need a sim to get data and cell service. Go to verizon and they will set you up. Should be free if you have a plan with them.
