Default Contacts stored in google account.

Recently, I did FDR and most of my contacts came back into my phone from google. I always back up to my google account when I add a new contact, however, when my phone reset, 6 months of added contact were missing.
Is there a way of clearing all contacts from google and phone and start fresh or anew?.
Thank you.

Sure. It's best to manage from a PC browser connected to http://www.google.com/contacts

I'm assuming that you have your contacts stored somewhere else, where you can export them into a way that Google contacts can import. See this help page: https://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=14024

First, though, after you get in that page, there is a "More" button at the top of the list of contacts. In that menu there is a "Restore" command, so you can restore your contacts from a number of different time periods. You can try doing that first to see if it helps.

If not, you can select all of the contacts there (if you look two to the left of the "More" button, there is a control that allows you to select all contacts) and delete them, then import your contacts back into Google contacts. After they are imported, your phone *should* eventually (within, say, 15 minutes) resync all of your contact info.
