Question FoxFI WiFi vs. BT

What would be easier on the Droid's battery? Making a hot spot for a tablet using WiFi or Bluetooth? Or are they about the same?

I do not know the answer, but I'd suggest try running each for 30 minutes and see which is better!

Depends. Since BT has a limited radius, it makes sense that the radio strength is a lot lower than the WiFi Radio's strength, so you'd think that it would be the better alternative.

However, you also have to remember that you may not get the same throughput with BT as you do with WiFi, so connections overall on BT may need longer to finish everything that you are doing than t would take on WiFi.

To positively answer this you'd need a battery of tests, including large downloads, gaming, quick emails, multiple short downloads, etc. to really say definitively whether one or the other is better.
