I've been using this leak for a long time with no issues. Should I bother with aggravation of flashing back to GB and getting the OTA?

Other than some bugs they worked out there is not much difference. The only reason that I would see going up to the leak is getting on the OTA path for the jellybean leaks and the official JB OTA.

Just an FYI there is a FXZ file for flashing the 6.7.246 ICS OTA, it will save you the step of down grading, updating and having to do an FDR. I do advise using the unmodified fxz coming from any leak and GB. You can get the file from my signature.

That still requires a complete wipe, correct?
My wife's Bionic is on some sort of leak (don't even remember which one) and I'm sure she'd kill me if I had to wipe it again.

You can use the modified 6.7.246 fxz file I made and she will keep her data but she might have random issues from time to time. If you did a full wipe going from GB to the ICS leak then you should be fine.
