Default can't seem to save picture

hi folks. A friend has sent me a picture via text message. Is there a way for me to save it to the gallery in the phone? If not, is there a way to share it via email? sorry, I'm just not real good at this stuff..... thanks for any help

Gmail

Load the Gmail app.
Select one of the images in the e-mail until it occupies the screen.
Select Settings.
Select Save or Save all.
Load the Files app.
Select Device storage.
Select Download.
Move them to wherever you want.

Default AW: can't seem to save picture

Long press on the picture in the MMS should pop up a menu for save and share.

If not, try the free app 'Save MMS' which does the saving

The gallery should find the pic in each case.
