Default Is there no notification light??

My previous Maxx HD had the really large notification LED light.....but this phone has none? I know it has the active notification that softly opens up every 5 seconds or so on the screen, but its really hard to see.

I'm used to looking over from across the room or nightstand to see if I have a message, but this new design may not cut it.

It has a low battery led but not used for anything else - maybe something for the rooted list

You might be right - I read it in a manual - have yet to see on phone.

documentation says it only comes on when there is not sufficient power to light the screen while recharging the battery.

I ran it down to where it powered off and the led never came on when recharging.
