Default Battery discharge rate 1% / 11 minutes

Per my battery widget my discharge rate is 1% per 10-11 minutes. It was 1% per 21 minutes 2 days ago. Nothing significant has changed since then. This happened a few days ago and doing the wipe cache partition seemed to correct it. Not this time. What gives?

Use gsam battery monitor or wake lock detector to find out. Might be an app update or service running.

Yes. This. Gsam will also tell you things like signal strength times for low through high signal in "Phone radio" - a weak signal can drain the battery faster.

I removed an email app that I hadn't seen before and we'll see how that goes. Things seem much better already, 98% after one hour. We'll see,

For getting a lead on this kind of problem you can run in Safe Mode (disabling all apps you added without uninstalling them) and if the issue stops you know it is caused by an app you added.

Did a wipe cache, removed an unused email app, and uninstalled battery widget reborn-beta. all seems to be better this morning, I'm not going to worry about finding the problem.
