Default No auto formatting (auto fit) of text....really?

I just talked to Motorola tech support and evidently this phone will not auto fit text to to fit the screen (to provide easy scrolling) if you zoom in. Thus you have to continuously scroll left to right AND up or down just to read anything.

My old HTC Incredible had this feature and for those of us with less than stellar eyesite it's a must have. Is this a problem for you and did your old phone have this feature?

Tried this with Google and Google Chrome.
