Do these text messages mean an update?

I'm going to say these are some software updates, but not too sure.
From: 900-080-004000
Message: //VZWDM;2010/12/16 14:15:12 GMT;54.349;;;MB;F;;0;;MB

From: 900-080-003493
Message: //Brew:0x100000:ALV=2 (Two of these messages came 15 days apart)

got same text today. Had previous text 900-080-004000 and it was from Verizon. Wish they would give more info. Ask 900-080-003493 who they were. Got reply telling me not to reply.

Those are strange. Perhaps somebody else will chime in, but I did a search on them and came up empty (beyond your post

).

A reverse phone look up on the 900 number yielded nothing as well, which can sometimes mean a fax machine or other data distributor.

I'd not worry about it.

my phone blocked it when I tried to download, something about blocking anything not from android
