Default Notification sound location

I just took delivery of Sprint's version of the Droid Pro and it is very solid. I got my extensive list of ringtones loaded and recognized but I the notification list isn't as easy. Does anyone know where those sounds are stored, or how to add sounds to the notification?

For Ringtones, if you create a folder on your SD Card called Ringtones, and add music files you want to use as ringtones to it, they'll appear in the list.

For Notifications, the procedure is the same, but call your folder Notifications.

Help - I had to do a full reset after updating my Galaxy Note to Android 4.0.3.
Everything is OK but when I receive email (GMail) the phone vibrates but the selected notification sound won't play.
What am I missing?

On my SD card I have created a folder "notification" and put some WAV and MP3 files into it.
Will a WAV file work? But MP3 files also don't work.
Everything was perfect before.

Thanks
