Really.. That would be nice since I'm due for an upgrade, unfortunately last time I checked the Verizon website was down so I can't see if this is still true.
Edit: Well it doesn't seem to be available for me anymore, I get a pop-up window saying "Your unlimited data plan is no longer available"
Me too. I think they just didn't have their systems updated until recently. Oh well. It is what it is.

My take was that all that was related to issues with some orders from before the share everything launch. So rather than fix peoples problem getting the device with their unlimited retained who had orders get messed up one by one they just had the system flag accounts they thought might have tried to place SIII orders before Share Everything. Or that was my take based on what was reported on everything by Droid-Life and some of the comments there. Basically if you had went through the online process before Share Everything and then didn't pull the trigger I figure your account might have got flagged to get the SIII and retain unlimited. Hard to say for sure, but it was seemingly random and could see such a flag only for those that investigated pre-order causing a seemingly random availability to keep unlimited. They may have just had some window for those disgruntled sorts to get their SIII. Who knows for sure though.
Good enough for me. I"ll take it.
Give me a good car dock (yes, side mount usb/hdmi).
Give me a good desktop dock.
S4 and 2550..meh, good enough I guess.
Give the me the US rounded back vice the international (Big yes. I'd take either as I like a phone to be a phone more than a pretty device. However, the US is really sweet!
Any word on RAM??? 1 or 2 gb?
Any word on SD card? I forgot. I shouldn't be surfing the net at work to look.
Any good reading on what "colorblast" is besides LCD and HD? Reviews say it's good, but I'd like technical stuff like, brightness, whiteness, depth of black, etc.
Finally some info on the Razr HD so satisfy some of my hunger. So far I like what I'm seeing/reading. They said the international version would have an 8MP camera. However, no word (that I've seen) regarding the US version.
I'm still, patiently/impatiently waiting for the release of the Razr HD.

I am liking these new pics at droid life, did you notice the back has no hump near the camera, I'm liking that!!
I also like the camera lens in the middle and nice wide open speaker grill. I'm looking forward to this seeing this phone, it may replace my still running sweet origl DInc.
I am not crazy about that dead black empty space below the onscreen buttons, why have that?

They need room for the radios and the larger battery while keeping the phone thin and getting rid of the hump....... (well, maybe)
I too am liking what I see. Please sir, may I have another?
The Atrix HD is just about the same size and has a larger screen so you know the bezel is thinner.
They are functionally the same size, since the Atrix has a fixed nav bar scarfing up space. Does anybody else find a fixed nav bar on a phone sized display insane? Gaming on them is nigh impossible, not to mention it is wasted display space.

I think I would be more accepting of this direction if App developers were putting their own nav options in the app and hiding these until you do something that makes them show again. The video player apps that hide them are reasonable compromises and other apps could do something. A game could have a certain menu option to turn them back on or even just a non control area of the gameplay to touch that would reshow them and pause the game.
As it stands with very few apps using them well though I would rather not have them also.
ugh.
Why do companies continue to put the speaker on the back of phones and tablets when on-screen buttons give them plenty of real-estate to face the speakers forward?

And even if not the front the sides would be better than back. Even Apple gets that.
This is the first I've seen how thin the Razr HD appears to be. The 2 slots at the bottom edge are most likely the micro-usb charging port and the micro HDMI port.
There is some speculation as to what is above the 2 ports. Could be a cover for the Sim card, or a cover for the memory card. It doesn't appear to be a rocker switch, but ?????
Any speculation as to what it might be?
Also the camera hump is gone. I kinda got used to the hump on my "X". I could tell what was up on the phone just by feel.
At this point I think I'm looking at my next phone. (Barring any "bonehead" specs)

Those are the original leaked pic's Droid-Life was asked to remove awhile ago. Pretty sure its similar in thickness to the X/Bionic as the mUSB and mHDMI seem to be a good bit less than the thickness. Might even be thicker than those and that is why the camera hump looks mostly gone. It does seem there is a very slight RAZR Maxx sorta almost no camera hump kinda slight slope though.
I am mostly curious about screen size and how close to the same size as the iPhone 5 overall it will be. Afraid it's not going to be differentiated well in this respect.
Is it me or does that side profile pic look a lot like how the iphone looks from the side with the black and the metal looking bezel? Do you see similarities?

Yes, I definately see the "iPhone look" when viewed from the side, but I'm ok with that as long as it doesn't have the same antenae problems the iPhone had.
I thought if we got a few leaked photos, it would satisfy my appetite for a while. NOPE! I now find myself subscribing to the phylosophy of "To much is never enough"
One good thing is because we're getting some photos, that means the pre-production/test phones are out there and logic then follows that the release date is getting closer. (barring any major problems with the test units)
Anyway, here I am, patiently/impatiently waiting for the release of my next phone, the Razr HD!

Black rectangle with shiny edge. Pretty sure Crapple will have the HD band just before release date. They own the patten on black rectangles.
Kidding but not really. I would not be surprised at all if apple finds something to sue Moto for. We have every reason to be worried.
The actual quote from Motorola's facebook page is:
"Let's play a game, Guess the Smartphone. We'll give a clue each day all week and make the big reveal on Friday. I have the power of 4G LTE. Which smartphone am I?"
RAZR HD!!! (I hope )

Like the remark form AF Forum Guide dreadnatty08: "I'm putting my money on the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD Plus Developer Edition"
Hah. That's about as unlikely as it gets right there! But about the most desirable option to most. VZW and Moto are always keeping their fingers on the markets pulse though I tell yah! "Droid.........Developer....." That'll be the day! I'm still a bit befuddled the Galaxy Nexus actually happened finally and I have the device. The VZW GNex was about as NOT Developer as a true google experience developer device could get though. Curious to see if the SIII developer edition will get direct Samsung updates that are unmolested/checked by VZW? It's totally unsponsored by VZW as far as I can gather.

It was all tongue in cheek.
I really would love to see another Moto on Verizon like the OG, but if the S3 is any sign, I don't see it happening. While I love my Nexus, I really miss the hardware and radios of Moto.

If you look at what the RAZR HD and SIII are underneath they are much closer than any recent devices. You can probably even go back a ways and have trouble find such similar devices from a baseband and IC standpoint in general. It's really the build of the chassis, display type/size, antenna design, and firmware differences.
My GNex could use better CDMA capability and even a bit better LTE reception, but I suspect a lot of the improvement to that will be had with the 2nd gen integrated LTE baseband from Qualcomm that SHOULD be the exact same part used on both the SIII and this RAZR HD. Basically I don't see Antenna and baseband firmwares creating grand differences in radio performance on these devices like what has traditionally been the case between Moto and Samsung. I would probably prefer a the bit sharper and less saturated colors of a good 720p LCD, but not at the cost of display size I find to be likely here compared to SIII.
The more heavy and metallic or other fancy material build is what I always authentically miss from a Moto. If the new Samsung stuff was not solid I would probably desire Moto more, but even though they are mostly plastic they aren't creaky and crappy feeling like a lot of past plastic devices were. Curious to see if Moto stick's with an mSD slot on this phone also. That is what I probably desire the most on my GNex. The SIII really is a desirable device to me really though. Particularly the Dev version as I don't plan to get subsidized phones anymore anyhow as I have grandfathered unlimited data on two lines and do exploit it on each really.

That was pretty LAME from Motorola. Seems "guess the smartphone" was the Atrix HD on AT&T. They had alot of people thinking it was the Razr HD.
My bet is they will release the Razr HD 1 or 2 weeks before pre-orders of the iPhone 5. What do you think?
I'm still leaning toward these 2 phones but now more toward the Razr HD because the iPhone 5 is reported to only have 1440 mah battery, that will never last 1 day with LTE. LOL Heck the Droid Inc 4G has 1700mAh and the same 4" screen.

I don't follow iPhone junk, but seriously, 1440? and throw in a HUGE 4" screen...haha. And LTE as you stated will surely be horrible battery life.
Is it wishful thinking? Maybe an announcement is around the corner because Amazon is now selling the RAZR and Atrix 2 for a penny?
I don't care if it's wishful thinking or not. I'm willing to hang my hat on anything at this point. I've been patiently waiting for this phone since sometime last year. Guess I can make it a little longer.
Take your time Verizon/motorola, but hurry every chance you get!
Here is some news people. Are we willing to wait that long? Are they really releasing two versions at the same time? What to do? In October, that thing BETTER have JELLYBEAN!!!

Yeah, saw that last night. I've never heard of HotHardware, so I wasn't confident in citing that article, and they further claim to rely on an unnamed source. Too sketchy for me without some hard data.
Oct is way after the iPhone. They WILL loose a ton of sales. Crapple lost a lot to the S3 (iLike that fact). They need to release before the "announcement" of the iPhone 5. lets convert a few more to Android.
I don't know if I'm more baffled by the supposed Oct release or that they are talking about releasing a standard and and a Maxx version. Especially after the first debacle.

As long as they release them at the same time it seems like an ok-idea.
Some people want slim over battery life. If it is released at the same time people know all their options.

So, if they aren't at the same time, then how many Razr owner's are not going to forget? How many people that didn't get either the Razr or Maxx, but still thought it wasn't right?
I bet they loose a few early sales as people wait for a Maxx version.
I never had one, but if there are good leaks on a Maxx I'll wait, maybe.
