Default does the HD maxx heat up and use battery up occasionally like the non-HD maxx?

I had the standard maxx for a short while. It would heat up occasionally and the battery deplete rapidly. Does the HD version have this issue?

I've only had it for about two weeks, but so far, no.

No issues here. Still on ICS.

I have had it happen once or twice. I just do a simulated battery pull and it works fine afterwards.

Mine heats up if I'm using an app that is video-intensive, like some games. The battery drains faster but I'm sure that is because the processor is working extra hard to run the game. So it's not the heat draining the battery but rather the phone working extra hard which creates more heat and uses more battery.
