Default Poor Graphics Performance

Howdy all! Lurked these forums long enough, time to actually post! Has anyone experienced consistently poor performance in terms of grahpical rendering by the Razr M? Specifically, mine:
  • Has trouble rendering games like Temple Run - play will rotate between smooth and choppy to the point of being unplayable.
  • Higher resolution video having similar difficulty, with the audio continuing to play but the video freezing or blacking out temporarily.

Based on the internals of this thing it doesn't seem like these should be issues - I am assuming its settings or something. Anyone have any thoughts? Or do I just have a lemon?

I was about to post similar issues with mine today. I have been noticing a few quirky, seemingly hardware related issues including: temple run, doodle jump and line runner "hanging" up or "dragging" during play, needing to hit the screen multiple times for an input to register, and some songs cutting out for a second when playing headphones through Play Music (these are downloaded to the device, not streamed). I also notice bad feedback through the speakers when running my phone through my car stereo on an auxiliary headphone jack while plugged into the car charger (never happened with Gnex or GSii)

Thought about taking the phone back, but figured I'd try the Jellybean leak first. So far it appears that the issues are not happening any more on Jellybean, but I've only been on it for a few hours. Not sure if the operating system is helping, or wiping cache during the update, but it does seem to be noticeably better.

The Motorola DROID RAZR M comes as the mid-end smartphone among the new RAZR family. A lower price usually means sacrificing a great deal of features, but Motorola managed to make a very capable device with a $99 price-tag. The device features the ... Read More
