definitely has to be a 3rd party app. I factory reset my phone yesterday and didn't change any settings outside of initial setup... nothing happening like what the OP states.

I think it's like this from default. Has to be right? It's really annoying. Every time I dial a number and put the phone to my ear the phone says "verizon wireless". Also it does this whenever I lose or gain signal.

If it was set up bu default why would you be the only one reporting it?

well I guess it might not be by default. But I definitely didn't manually change any system settings that would make it do this. I only installed games and basic apps. The one thing I did install were some voices from pico tts but I tried uninstalling that but the voices persist.

Default Complaints from inside my pocket?

I have recently noticed that my phone is attempting to notify me of the data connection is lost I find very annoying I cannot find any of the above menu items in my htc X 1 running ice cream sandwich.
It may have been a recent application that I've installed I will attempt to uninstall it to figure out which app it is.

In ICS disable web scripts under accessibility.
I don't know if that option is on the Razr.
